Direct marketing in village stores and regional gastronomy.

The two locations of the farm Hubmann of the brothers Andreas and Thomas Hubmann with wife Maria and the children Johannes, Philipp and Anna are located in the foothills of the Alps of Lower Austria about 60 km west of the capital Vienna and are about 6 km apart.

The farms have always been family-owned and have been handed down from grandparents to father and mother and from them to brothers Andreas and Thomas, thus close cooperation in the family has always existed.

The agricultural enthusiasm of both brothers led to the fact that both farms continued to be managed at the respective location and subsequently also a joint agricultural contracting company was established and agricultural land was purchased in the west of Slovakia.

Intercropping and mulch sowing have been used on the Hubmann farm since the mid-1990s.

From 2011, the areas were converted to 100% No Till and the principles of "regenerative agriculture" were gradually implemented.

Species-appropriate free-range management of laying hens and pigs in mobile shelters was integrated on the land.

The next step was the marketing of our products, because a lot of people became aware of this untypical way of farming and asked more and more often where to buy such products.

So we have participated in several self-service village stores, which fortunately are emerging in large numbers in our region, meanwhile we also have great, innovative customers and partners in the catering industry, who have recognized the potential of high-quality, nutritious, healthy products.

The pigs are slaughtered and partly processed by small butchers in the region, which again promotes the quality and the unique position of our products.

Our eggs are marketed exclusively in the village stores and the grain is milled into flour in the local mill.

Since the beginning of 2020, we have placed even more focus on healthy soil as the basis for healthy plants, animals and people. With the help of the natural species behavior of our free-range pigs, we can produce microbially highly active compost and thus increase soil life, humus build-up and carbon sequestration in the soil on our land as quickly and effectively as possible.

These steps towards regenerative agriculture on the Hubmann farm have created a wonderful environment for living and working in recent years.

We can look proudly into the future and with joy produce great products for our customers, who with their purchase decision help us further to transform the planet into the paradise in which our children will love to live.
