A refractometer measures the Brix level (sugar content) of a substance. The VeeGee refractometer is a simple fuel gauge for your crop. It is durable and has an all metal design. By looking through the eye piece you will notice that the refractometer has a high quality optical glass prism that helps make your reading as clear as possible. A rubber grip that is dimpled helps ensure a simple external cleanup.
The penetrometer is a gauged probe used to measure the level of compaction at various levels within the soil. As soil becomes more compacted, it loses its ability to absorb and retain moisture. The soil pressure in the aerobic zone (with oxygen) should not exceed 300 PSI (pounds per square inch). This is where the feeder roots of most plants exist and they are unable to penetrate higher levels of pressure. The anaerobic zone (without oxygen) is where the soil loses its ability to drain water and can no longer pull fresh oxygen in.
The Milwaukee MW302 is a cost effective and reliable meter used for measuring electroconductivity (EC) in the soil. A 'slurry' mixture is required for this unit, which consists of equal part of soil mixed with distilled or deionized water. The MW302 comes with a sturdy carrying case, calibration solutions and a measuring cup for mixing.
The Spectrum FieldScout is a direct soil meter used for measuring electroconductivity. This feature offers accuracy and convenience. The FieldScout has a patented paired sensor tip which provides maximum soil-sensor contact and higher accuracy and automatic temperature compensation. This meter includes a sturdy carrying case and calibration solution.
The LaMotte nitrogen test kit has supplies to perform 100 nitrate tests and 100 ammonium tests. All of the supplies are conveniently contained in a sturdy lightweight carrying case for ease of use and portability.
The Lamotte Nitrogen kit is an economical and efficient way for producers to test the level of nitrogen in the soil. Within less than an hour, the results are available to enable more informed choices for fertility needs.
This test kit is safe, easy to use and cost effective. Each kit contains non-hazardous TesTabs and everything that is required to perform up to fifty tests each for nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium levels.

Biological Ionization As Applied to Farming and Soil Management is the source text for all serious students of Reams' Biological Theory of Ionization as it applies to farming and soil chemistry. It is based totally on Dr. Carey Reams' technique of using his approach to mathematics and physics for ideally managing soil chemistry and energy to regulate plant growth and development in order to produce the highest quality food possible for human consumption. The only text of its kind.
Author: Dr. A.F. Beddoe, D.D.S.
What is Reams Biological Theory of Ionization (RBTI) and how does it apply to soil and plant feeding and growth? If you want to be thoroughly introduced to why RBTI farming technology can change your life and the life of your farm, you need to read this book.

"The purpose of weeds is to correct soil problems" – Jay McCaman
This second edition features more varieties of weeds and identifies the poor soil conditions that foster their growth. ‘When Weeds Talk’ is a wonderful resource that illustrates the connection between mineral imbalances and the weeds that thrive in certain environments.
